Arkansas uses one statewide five-band WBGT table for practices and workouts. The official call requires an on-site WBGT reading.
What coaches need to know
- Under 82°F WBGT: normal activity with 10 total minutes of rest each hour.
- 82.0–86.9°F: use discretion, watch at-risk players, and provide three breaks of at least 4 minutes.
- 87.0–89.9°F: maximum 2 hours, football equipment limits, and 20 total minutes of rest each hour.
- 90.0–92.0°F: maximum 1 hour, no conditioning, no football protective equipment, and 30 total minutes of rest.
- Above 92.0°F: no outdoor workouts.
